MESSAGE FROM IFES PRESIDENT

IFES expresses its sincerest condolences on the untimely death of President Boris Trajkovski, Dimka Ilkova – Boskovic, Risto Blazevski, Anita Lozanovska, Mile Krstevski, Boris Velinov, Ace Bozinovski, Marko Markovski, and Branko Ivanovski. This is a profound loss for all the people of Macedonia.

All of us at IFES, particularly in our IFES Macedonia office, are proud to have had the opportunity to work with President Trajkovski. Mr. Trajkovski demonstrated a commitment to elections that reflect the will of the people of Macedonia. Indeed we believe his commitment to electoral reform was one of the reasons that the 2002 parliamentary elections were such a success.

The character, work and accomplishments of all who died will be remembered.

--Richard W. Soudriette, IFES President
